The Peoples Improv Theater (The PIT) is looking for projects for The PIT Loft Summer Series. Plays, musicals, solo performance, etc. - projects both finalized and in-progress encouraged to submit! No idea or concept too big or too small.
Productions receive:
-A number of guaranteed performances between June and Mid-September. Frequency and performance schedule based on the needs and goals of each production.
-Dramaturgical, audience development, and press outreach support from The PIT's Artistic Team.
-Marketing support from The PIT's Marketing Department.
-A split of the ticket sales. Exact split negotiated with regards to each production's specifics.
Production guidelines:
-Projects are ideally under 90 minutes in length. Exceptions can be made at the discretion of the Artistic Team.
-Projects are ideally without major scenic or storage requirements.
-Projects will perform within The PIT Loft's repertory schedule.
-Projects are ideally low tech. The PIT does have repertory lighting, sound equipment, and projection capability in all of our spaces.
-Artists are ideally located in NYC.
-The PIT provides the space; artist supplies any production cost. Productions can be Equity or Non-Equity; Artist must apply to AEA for appropriate permissions.
