The Mint Theater - 311 West 43rd Street, 3rd Floor (between 8th & 9th Avenues)

By Allan Monkhouse

Directed by Jonathan Bank

“She’s the best housemaid the wealthy Timbrell family have ever had; but little do they know that Mary Broome has been performing rather more personal services for their household’s youngest son… An enduringly pungent piece of provocation.”   -The Times, 2011

“What’s striking about the play today is that it not only transports us back to a bygone era of high and mighty middle-class mores and lowly working-class expectations but that it also continues to speak to modern confusions about what men and women can expect from life—and from each other.”  - Telegraph, 2011
