Milford Arts Council seeks plays for Eastbound Summer 2011

Eastbound Theatre, a division of the Milford Fine Arts Council, is looking for short one-act plays for production in July. The theme of Eastbound Summer 2011 will be “Parallel”. 5 finalists will receive a production of their play, and compete for the Summer Audience Award. There is no financial compensation for production, or for winning the award.

Guidelines

There is no submission fee.

Deadline: February 4, 2010. Finalists will be notified via email.

Submissions must be unpublished, original one-act plays of 10-15 pages in length, inspired by the theme “Parallel.”. We prefer submissions to be completely new plays, written specifically for this event.

Scripts should contain a minimum of furniture, props and technical cues.

Please submit your script and a cover letter explaining how the theme “Parallel” inspired your work.

There is no compensation for performance.

Playwrights will maintain all rights to their material.

Playwrights may submit more than one play.
