Cambiando the Script returns to AMT Theater on Monday, October 19, 2026, for an evening celebrating the power of bilingual storytelling and the voices that bridge cultures through live theater.
We are currently accepting submissions of original one-act plays with a running time of 45 minutes or less that seamlessly blend Spanish and English into the storytelling. We welcome all genres—including comedy, drama, thriller, romance, musicals, and experimental works. The only requirement is that both languages are woven naturally into the script, reflecting the authenticity and complexity of bilingual life.
We are looking for playwrights who create compelling, thought-provoking stories that explore identity, family, community, love, resilience, and the many experiences that shape our multicultural world. Whether your play entertains, challenges, or inspires, we want work that demonstrates how language can deepen character, emotion, and connection.
If you’ve written a story that lives naturally between Spanish and English, we encourage you to submit your play and become part of an evening dedicated to celebrating bilingual voices on stage.
