We will be holding our annual Ten Minute Play festival at M.T. Pockets Theatre this year on August 21-23 & 28-30.
Every year we put on 10 shows and then have our audience vote for their favorites. Last year, we received over 900 entries which was hard for our small reading group to sort through. So, this year we will only have our submission window open for a month and we ask playwrights to submit no more than two works. We also will be implementing a cap on our entries this year. Our portal will close after we have reached 500 submissions.
Play submission guidelines:
-Play must have 10 or fewer pages (excluding title/character pages.)
-Monologue plays should be approximately 5 pages. We are aiming for a 10-minute run per show.
-We favor plays with 4 characters or less to ease cast transitions as often we have actors in multiple ten minute plays.
-We prefer plays that have never been produced, but all are welcome.
-Keep in mind we have to do 9 scene changes between shows. We often use rehearsal blocks and simple set pieces.
Our submission portal will be open until midnight on May 11, 2026 (unless we reach 500 entries first), and we will announce our selections on June 15th.
Prizes: The play voted First by our audiences will receive a prize of $100. Second place will receive $75. And Third place will receive $50.
Winners will be announced September 7th.
