Fall 10-Minute Play Festival
March 26-28, 2021

Our Annual 10 Minute Play Festival is moving to March beginning in 2021 as part of the 2021 show season.

Play submissions are due by November 30th 2020.

Truckee Community Theater is the only community theater organization in California at present that does a 10-Minute Play Festival. We started this endeavor back in 2017 by selecting 10-minute published plays and a variety of directors to put on a "festival". Now, with the help of writing teacher, Karen Terrey, we partner with her company "Tangled Roots" to help novice and aspiring playwrights to create beautiful 10-minute plays.

Plays are submitted each year and a committee selects the best of the best. In 2019, we received over 40 entries and 15 plays were selected and presented over a two-day festival. In 2021, we plan to grow the even to 4 days with 1 day featuring plays written and directed by our high schools students.
