Flathead Valley Community College (FVCC) Theatre is accepting entries for its fourth biennial 10-Minute Play Festival. Selected plays will be performed in the college’s Black Box Theatre May 5-7, 2015.
Entries must be original, unpublished plays lasting 10 minutes or less in length. Previously performed plays will be accepted; however, adaptations of original works will not be accepted.
Submissions should be “blind” and include an email address, phone number and cover sheet excluding the playwright’s name. Each playwright is allowed to submit up to three entries for consideration. There are no submission or reading fees associated with the festival.
Successful entries are complete works featuring fully-developed plots and characters. They are easily adapted into a variety of theatre spaces and do not rely on major scenic elements to tell the stories. Entries will be screened and selected by a committee comprised of FVCC faculty.
The deadline for entries is February 15, 2016. Each play selected to be performed at the festival will receive a $100 cash prize.
Entries can be submitted electronically in Adobe® PDF or Microsoft® Word format to rhaptonstall@fvcc.edu. Printed entries can be mailed to 10 Min. Plays, C/O Rich Haptonstall, Flathead Valley Community College, 777 Grandview Drive, Kalispell, MT 59901.
For more information, contact Richard Haptonstall at (406) 756-3962.
We never post opportunities that require a submission fee. LEARN MORE.
