Winter/Spring 2015-16 Full-Length Play Submission

Do you have a full-length piece that embodies the H.E.A.T. mission statement? We are seeking scripts to be staged as a complete production. We will produce one piece in the Winter of 2015, and one in the Spring of 2016 to complete our season.

We are now accepting all full-length play submissions.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, June 26, 2015

H.E.A.T. Theatre Company is a collective of artists who pledge to unpack contemporary perceptions of "otherness". That is to say: the quality of existing as a body that is both alienated from, and integral to, the social norm. Our investigation of the term is two-fold: first, as the noun, "an other," and second, as the verb, "to other". We do not wish to claim these identities as our own. Rather, it is through tenacious research and collaboration that we will create and interpret new works, while acknowledging the multiplicity of otherness as a fundamental component to the world in which we live. By telling these stories we hope to start conversations that spark reaction and action; that foster knowledge and empathy. Join us.
