NAPSeries Festival (NYC)

web site

In February of 2019, Normal Ave produced its inaugural NAPseries, a brand new festival of new plays, which featured 29-hour workshops of new plays, networking events, and more.

NAPseries continues after last year’s sold-out weekend. NAPseries supports Normal Ave’s mission of supporting new voices and making theatre accessible to audience. All readings will be free and open to the public.

The festival will run from January 3-12, 2020.

The reading series will be led by Normal Ave’s Literary Manager, Kylie Brown (Lifespan of a Fact).

Make theatre. Make connections. Make it happen. We’ve got you.

Submissions will be open through July 17, 2019.

The festival will feature three parties, four shows, eight readings, tons of artists, and most importantly, you, the playwright.

This week is all about letting you be just the playwright. We'll take care of the rest. Participating playwrights will be provided with rehearsal and reading space, receive support developing the team and cast for their show, as well as access to the entire festival.

We don't tell you how to bloom, but we'll help you grow.

Festival Dates: January 3-12, 2020

Submission Requirements:
-Currently only accepting full length plays (No musicals at this time)
-Must be 18 years or older to participate
-Must be available to be in NYC during the festival dates
