RAZE - global ten-minute plays festival

web site

RAZE is excited to be partnering with LA MADE in 2019, bringing our annual ten-minute international play festival back to the Mark Taper Auditorium at the public library in Downtown Los Angeles CA.

The 2019 festival, which is open to playwrights around the world, with a $250 First Place Prize.

The 2019 festival theme and title is Lost and Found.

Whatever the words “Lost and Found” trigger creatively, however playwrights choose to interpret it, we look forward to reading each and every play submitted.

In 2018 we received over 500 play submissions and selected eight winning plays for performance. We are expecting even more submissions in 2019 and will again select just eight winning plays for performance. Once chosen, each play will be assigned to one of eight Los Angeles based theatre directors who will cast and rehearse the work ready for the festival's free performance day. Here are some key dates followed by entry details:

Submissions:                            May 1st – May 31st
Plays announced:                    August 1st, 2019
Festival Performance:             October 20th, 2019
