Benchmark Theatre 3rd Annual Fever Dream Festival

web site

Benchmark Theatre is currently accepting submissions for the 3rd annual Fever Dream Festival taking place in Denver, Colorado in October 2019. A celebration of science fiction, fantasy, horror and all genres in between, the Festival is a staged reading series of innovative plays with chimerical themes.

Submission Guidelines

Benchmark will be accepting submissions of short plays, one acts and full-length plays from across the United States that are in the spirit of the Festivals' themes. Submissions may be new or previously produced work and there is no fee to submit.

  • Only one submission per playwright, please
  • Submissions should be sent electronically using the link below
  • Please send a FULL copy of your script in PDF or Word format with no playwright identifying information on the script (i.e., a blind copy)
  • The script should include a logline or brief synopsis and a character breakdown
  • Please note that we will accept scripts previously submitted to the Festival provided the play has undergone significant development and/or changes.

This call for submissions will remain open until May 31, 2019
OR until we receive 250 submissions, whichever comes first.

Please note, too, that plays must be submitted in PDF or Word, with NO identifying information, and include a synopsis or they will be disqualified. And, unfortunately, we are unable to consider musicals at this time.
