SHE PLAYS
Plays about women, written by women, directed by women.
Part of WHAM! Women History Artist Month produced by Goddard Riverside, Silver Glass Productions and 29th Street Playwrights Collective.
NYC-metro-based women playwrights only.
Our goal is to give women playwrights an opportunity to develop and present their work as a staged reading and participate in the process.
Submissions open Dec 28 -- Submissions Close on Jan 11.
Event date: March 18th, 7:30pm at the Bernie Wohl Theatre 647 Columbus Ave btw 91st & 92nd Streets. (Tech rehearsal Sun Mar 17 10-2pm)
Please submit plays up to 10-minutes in length and monologues, no more than 5 minutes.
One submission per playwright. Send us your best. Only first 150 plays will be read.
Plays will be performed as a staged reading by actors we cast.
Each play will have a director and 3-5 hours of rehearsal. You must be available to attend both rehearsals and performance.
NYC metro area women playwrights only! This is a community-building event. We want you to be there, participate, network and celebrate.
Stipend for all participants (including playwrights): $25.00
