Isn't it time to bring it to life?
And who knows you may develop it into a Full-Length play, but you have to see it on its feet first!
We are looking for playwright/producers who want to DEVELOP their new longer short play in front of a live audience. We are looking for 6 to 8 NEW short plays never produced before, 20 - 45 minutes, which you will cast, direct and put on its feet at Manhattan Rep.
You cast and direct it and put it together and bring it in. We run the tech and supply the theatre, plus, as part of our new development program, we will work with you on the script, offer help with casting, directing and more, so that your play will rock!!!

(A short 20-30 minute Tech will be schedule for you during this timeframe.)

We will supply a technician to run your sound and lights for your production. AND WE WILL HELP YOU DEVELOP YOUR PLAY!
This program is NON-EQUITY ONLY.
Please come and join us. We will put up an amazing professional show at our theatre on 42nd St and 8th Ave in the heart of the Theatre District.

Please put "SHORT PLAY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT" in the subject heading.
These 1 act play productions will be considered on a first - come first-served basis. (The earlier you submit, the better your chances of being accepted.) If we fill up all production slots early on, we will end submissions earlier than MAY 8, 2015.
(With only 6 - 8 slots, earlier is better!)
Once submitted, we will get back to you within one week as to your acceptance.
Once accepted, there will be a $25 commitment fee.
There will be no additional Manhattan Repertory Theatre based production fees.
