The Saturday Night One-Acts (Lee Solomon, Producer) is seeking scripts for the first in its series of themed festivals, THE SISTER PLAYS. Accepted plays will be performed on a rotating basis on Saturday nights at 8 in New York City in March and possibly continuing after. There is no fee to playwrights. We prefer brand new scripts written in response to this ad, but previously written/produced scripts are fine as long as they are unpublished, have no fees or royalties attached, and meet all our parameters.
Script Parameters:
- Any length up to 20 minutes
- Must be able to be produced on a simple set with tables/chairs/blocks and no complex set, costume, or prop requirements
- Characters must be 2 females, age range 20s/30s, who are sisters.
Outside of these parameters, plays can be anything, and they can be comedic and/or dramatic.
If you wish to submit, please email Lee Solomon, producer, at leesolomon1026@gmail.com, stating intent to submit, as soon as possible, and please send the script by February 15 (or sooner if possible). Scripts will continue to be accepted after that on an ongoing basis, but submissions later than 2/15 may be delayed in consideration until a later festival. All accepted scripts may also be incorporated into the general pool of rotating scripts for the Saturday Night One-Acts. Playwrights will of course be notified if accepted.
