Submission Guidelines (Our guidelines have been revised).
- Submitted short plays must be less than 15 minutes long
- Please DO NOT include the cover page (author’s name) as part of the main pdf (send as a separate pdf or in the text of the email)
- Plays must be centered on the theme Aftermath.
- Please use no more than 5 characters in your play.
- No X-rated scripts. We are a community theater. We simply cannot perform them for our audiences.
- Author name and other author information MAY ONLY appear on the cover page and MAY NOT appear on any other pages of the play. (See below)
- Submissions should be previously unproduced.
- Only one submission per author will be accepted.
- Pagination should begin on page 1 of the text. Please include name of your play on each page.
- Please submit in pdf format by EMAIL.
Process and Other Information
8 finalists will be chosen by a panel of readers, who will do so without knowing who wrote the play. Therefore your name and other identifying information may only appear on the front page, which will be removed prior to distribution to the readers.Failure to comply will result in automatic disqualification.
Please be aware that selected plays will be staged with minimal sets, props, costumes, lights and sound. The 8 selected plays will be assigned a director (at random) who will cast actors and present the work as he/she sees fit.
The 8 finalists have the chance to compete for an audience “peoples’ choice” award as well as judges’ awards.
