Timeline Theatre Company submission policy

web site

TimeLine Theatre Company is committed to developing and producing new work rooted in our mission of presenting stories inspired by history that connect with today's social and political issues.

Due to the volume of scripts considered, TimeLine is only able to accept full length play and musical submissions year-round from literary agents and theatre professionals with whom we have an existing professional relationship. We cannot accept unsolicited material.

The only exception to this is that, in recognition of our commitment to fostering local voices, we invite unrepresented writers in the Chicagoland area to submit a brief bio, statement of how their play fits TimeLine's mission, short synopsis, and 10 pages of sample dialogue during the months of July and August only.

TimeLine only produces plays which fulfill our company's mission. Please familiarize yourself with our production history prior to sending a submission.

Unsolicited submissions that do not meet the criteria above are not read and are either returned (if accompanied by a stamped envelope) or recycled (if an envelope is not provided).

Email submissions are strongly preferred and may be sent to ben@timelinetheatre.com. No phone calls please. If you must mail your submission, please send your materials to:
